In February, 2014, I had the honor of interviewing the “Cemetery Lady of Dallas County” Frances James. She has written three informative books covering Dallas County history and the cemeteries of Dallas County, Texas. The name of the books are DALLAS COUNTY HISTORY–FROM THE GROUND UP VOL I, II AND III. They are a must for any library of one who enjoys Texas history as well as historic cemeteries. Ms. James has been involved in saving and preserving Dallas County cemeteries since the 1970’s whose knowledge and work is revered as well as sought after by historians, politicians, archaeologists, TexDot as well as families of loved ones buried in these historic cemeteries.
If anyone is interested in purchasing these” must have” books, please email Frances James [email protected]. The books cost $40.00 plus a $3.00 mail fee.
